Lighting and Sound Designer, Deck Electrician, A1/A2, Technical Director
Andrew is a fourth year Theater and French double major. He is primarily a lighting and sound designer, but he's also worked as a projections designer, scenic designer, and a technical director. He also is an electrician in various places across campus, and he's worked in education and regional theater in his hometown of Ithaca. He also does concerts! While not doing performances, he can be found eating in Pyle or speaking French in Peters.
Emily is a third year theater major specializing in lighting design. She also dabbles in video, sound, and anything with electronics. She has worked on various shows at Oberlin, Interlochen Arts Festival, and Needham Student Theater. Besides being a Co Chair for SLSA, she is the Proposals Coordinator for OMTA/OSTA and an employee at the Oberlin Theater Department electrics shop. When she isn't behind a light board she enjoys playing banjo and watching terrible movies.
Lorelei is a third year theater and economics double major. They are primarily a stage manager, but work in a variety of roles on productions. Beyond their SLSA work, they've worked with the theater department's mainstage productions, Lab Series shows, the opera department, OMTA/OSTA, the Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival, and the Illinois Shakespeare Festival. They work in the theater department in the paint shop and the electrics shop. They enjoy sending emails, making spreadsheets, and keeping this wonderfully crazy board on track.
Cloude is a second year theater and sociology double major from Cary, North Carolina. While they are primarily an actor, they are excited to branch out and get in touch with their technical side in SLSA! Outside of SLSA, Cloude serves as the treasurer for OMTA, is a member of campus acapella groups Pitch, Please and Nothing But Treble, and works in the theater department's costume shop. Zivia is a second-year theater major, and intended GSFS minor. Their focus is lighting and set designer and they have also dabbled in performance and stage management. They have done work with the Oberlin Theater department, OMTA OSTA, Yes! And... Collaborative Arts, and Delaware Shakespeare Festival. They work as a TA in the Theater Department Scenic Paint and Electronics shops. In a the are the Lighting Technical Coordinator for OMTA OSTA. They post their work on instagram @dislexicbookwerm
Riley is a second year double-degree Recording Arts and Production major. He has contributed as a sound designer and technician for multiple Oberlin Musical Theater Association and Theater Department shows, and is the Sound Technical Coordinator for OMTA. He has also worked with Korsa Musical Theater company and IATSE Local 16 in San Francisco.
Lucy is a second-year theater major and politics minor. Her focus is stage management, though she also does lighting design, and is down to learn anything technical theater. They’ve stage managed several shows at Oberlin, both student theater and through the department, and has been an assistant lighting designer. She also works at the e-shop, and has worked at a theater festival in New York City, both as an ASM and a production assistant.
Sarah is a third year Theater major from Brooklyn, NY! This is their first year on the SLSA board and they're very excited to take on the responsibilities of the SLSA Pet role and continue to grow and develop the position. They have done a lot of stage management and other production roles at Oberlin, including being the current ASM of Stupid Fucking Bird. Sarah is also one of the Co-Chairs of OMTA/OSTA, and the founder of the Oberlin Stage Managers' Cohort. They also work in the department in the E-Shop and in the role of Managing Assistant.
SLSA would not be able to operate effectively without the help and support of Oberlin faculty and staff members from all over campus.
